why are nearly all wii games cartoonish? all ports that go to wii are toned down to a cartoonish styles. why?
i think that this really hurts the system.
RE4, Godfather, Manhunt2, and Scarface were "toned down to a cartoonish style"? No, I don't think so, and they were all ports.
RE: Umbrella Chronicles is not cartoonish either. Nor are most of the sports games. Or Baroque. Or Obscure: The Aftermath. Or Escape from Bug Island (though that game is terrible).
Games that don't depend on style or atmosphere tend to get a cartoonish gloss because the Wii is aimed at all ages, so they want to make it appeal to all ages. Just because it has a cartoon look doesn't mean it's for kids, though. Just look at No More Heroes for proof of that.
